christmas is coming...

for the past 9 years... the pruitts and the hoelzles have gone christmas tree "hunting". on the 2nd or 3rd year, the nortons joined in with us. we've been to about 4 or 5 different farms. it's pretty fun. the weather is always an adventure. rain. bitter cold wind. 80 degrees. you name it. we've been through it... except for snow. hopefully one day...!

so for all you rookies out there. you get to the farm, grab a saw... and start hunting. that's always interesting... trying to find "the one", because there is "one". it's not that you could pick any and make it work. no. height, girth, fullness, color, holes, the top, and of course - the over all presentation of the pine.

this year it was cold and rainy... but that's nothin' a little hot chocolate can't cure.

a little too cold for jack jack.

partners in crime (that goes for the pic above and below!). ella decided to sit this pic out... and jackson, too.

i know what you're thinking... lolo with the saw. but nobody got hurt... this time. and don't underestimate the power of the "hay ride" even if there's no hay. it'll make or break the trip. you and the kids will gumble about the lousy and lazy farm if you don't get some kind of a ride!

triplets in crime...roastin' peanuts is a great way to pass the time. this farm was pretty good. they had a great selection and a the few little free perks that make you want to come back because the kids thought it was great... inspite of the cold cold cold wind, rain and mud.now it's time to put up the tree. this year was really fun. the girls did great! cindy kinda' parked it in the middle of the floor and handed out stuff! but wait... daddy gets to put the lights on first! ha!

we hope you celebrate the birth of God who became flesh because He loves us so much during this Christmas season.
our family has gotten involved with a sudo version of www.adventconspiracy.org . check it out. it's so worth it. we're looking forward to this years worship, giving, and joy.
